Great campground on lake Lanier.

The campground looked clean but the dumpster and garbage smelled awful. We didn’t like that our site #34 was so far from water. And you could hear traffic passing along the road. It was loud on weekday mornings.

Sites near the road are a little bit noise during the day but quiets down at night. Also the sites near the road do not have lake views.

Site was near the hosts and very deep. But didn't have a view of the lake and a little road noise during the day.

Sawnee is a great family friendly lakefront campsite on the south end of Lake Lanier. We’ve been camping here for (14) years... we love here.

We had such a great time! The sites are all kept very clean and there was no overgrowth of brush. The kids had a blast swimming in the water and playing on the small beaches near our sites. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly and weren't too far to walk to from our sites. The kids also loved the playground, which was right next to our site as well. Such a fun time and great memories were made!
