Woodring is in a wonderful location and is very well kept. The RV sites are spacious, very clean, and provide possibly the best boating access to Carter's Lake! Most RV sites are heavily wooded and makes for a cool and relaxing vacation stay. The on-site volunteer staff were very helpful and around when needed. Bathhouses were kept very clean. Woodring is certainly one of the best campgrounds in the area. We would really love to see Woodring & Doll Mountain campgrounds stay open year round. It is a travesty that all the ACOE sites close during the late fall and winter months when so many people would like to use it! What a wonderful place a place it would be during the late fall, winter, and early spring! Thanks for all you do! Our family really appreciates it!

We enjoy the peacefulness of the campground and the views from each campsite. Carters Lake is generally quiet and not as busy as the lakes closer to Atlanta.

Very hospitable. Nice level tent pads and fire pits. Clean restrooms & showers. Our sites were on the water with great views of the lake and damn. Nice hiking trails available just outside main gate. Will be returning for a weekend in August.

The 3 stars had just to do with my experience .that was tempered by bad weather .rain .hail .storm make for a lousy tent camping experience. The!facilities are always nice and clean and tthe overseeing couple do a great job .i will be back for sure .
