This is a beautiful campground on Lake Lanier. It became a day use area with very limited times due to lack of staff. This is such a shame as clearly it cannot be well maintained. The sites overlook the lake, they are clean. Day use folks next to us had a big party and the sheriff’s department came about five times. Don’t know what that was about but it was disturbing on such a peaceful lake view site! Then they cranked the music up 🥹 and that’s when we left. We noticed the other Pugh park area was beyond full….overrun with people on a Sunday afternoon. There was no one at the gate to manage the crowd.
