Van Pugh is at a very nice vantage point on Lake Lanier. Very easy to drive into. Lots of nearby amenities, including marinas, lakeside restaurants, shopping if you forgot something. The managers were very helpful and they made regular rounds to check on e everyone. My only negative comment is that you are very close to one of the boaters’ beach up areas. The constant, almost continuous loud music can be quite annoying as the sound from the water just reverberates right in to the campsites on the north side of Van Pugh, sites 1-23. We did enjoy our stay and will look forward to returning.

We always try to make reservations for sites 32-33. We had a great time and loved the experience ❤ only had one complaint. On the day we were to check out. They came around 11:15am to remind us of our check out time of which was fine but then as I was hooking up the camper they came again to tell me that check out was at 1pm. That was frustrating 😑
