Van Pugh is always clean and well maintained. I love the location situated right on Lake Lanier and it has all the amenities you could need for a nice camping experience. The only drawback to my most recent experience was that there were quite a lot of children running around. But that is to be expected. Just a tad too noisy this time around. But overall an excellent campsite.

Ideally, it's a campground for boaters and not much else. That said, it's well taken care of. Clean bathroom & showers. Sites tend to be well spaced. Gracious hosts. We spent 3 days relaxing and exploring.

Site 36, easter weekend. Site had a good view. Was not very level and length could only park 1 car in the lot + 19ft travel trailer. Great amenities with fire ring, shade, on a less traveled peninsula of the park, walking distance of bath house up the hill, etc.
