Excellent campground. Almost all sites right on the water and very large and private.

I was very disappointed with this camp ground. Myself, my adult children, and grandchildren have been coming here for years. We missed camping last year and this was our first place camping as a family in awhile. The camp host lacked customer service skills and was not hospitable. Definitely not Karen and her family that was here years ago. The grounds were in poor shape. The campsites are not being cleaned, such as, blown off or raked to keep holes from occurring in the gathering area outside your camper. Trash from previous guests was still in the fire pit. There was a 48-52” grass strip cut around the site and beyond that it was above my knee. This is the area where most families play games or throw frisbees or balls. To be honest, we didn’t see many young families camping and definitely not children riding bikes like they have done in the past. I am retired and I always enjoy seeing young families out and enjoying outdoors and the family time. The campground doesn’t have this atmosphere any longer. The bath houses are definitely not being cleaned and maintained as they once were. I was glad I didn’t have to go back in one. Upon departure the dump stations inside the park was closed so there will be a long line blocking the road outside the park waiting on the dump stations. I am not sure why they ones in the park was blocked off from use, no explanation was given. My family and myself will not be back until the management/camp host have changed and the camp grounds have been brought back up to the standards we are accustomed to at COE campgrounds.

This is a great campground. We were in space 1. Every site in that loop had some kind of view of the lake. Other sites in the other loops mostly had some lake views. Staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean.

As a parent of small children, I was a little disappointed in the “playground” and basketball/volleyball courts. Even the “beach” was a wide concrete pad that more resembles a boat ramp. Other than that, the attendants were extremely nice, and the fields and proximity to the lake were an adequate compensation.
