Campground is well maintained with friendly check in, easy in/out, lots of trees and lake views and a dump station on the way out. We camped in site 65 which is a long paved level back in site with water & electric, trees and shade, a large gravel patio, and great lake views. We camped at Bolding Mill in a Fifth Wheel.

From Atlanta, GA, take SR 400 north to Exit 17, turn right on GA Hwy

306, turn right on GA Hwy 53, turn left on Old Sardis Rd, and turn left

on Chestatee Rd. Follow into campground.

  • Register at the gatehouse window upon arrival with necessary documents.
  • Gatehouse hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends.
  • The gates close at 10:30 p.m. and reopen at 7 a.m.
  • Gatehouse staff cannot modify reservations due to limited internet access.

Safety & rules

  • Alcohol is not allowed on the premises.

Fees & deposits

  • No payments can be made at the gatehouse.
  • Discount passes must be shown on arrival and are valid for one registered site only.

  • Campers may stay a maximum of 14 days within any 30-day period at USACE campgrounds on Lake Lanier.
  • Overnight occupancy is required; day use is not allowed.
