We visit lake WestPoint several times a year, we always try to get whitetail but have used R Shaeford Heard. Whitetail is centrally located on the lake which we prefer.

Holiday and Whitetail Ridge are our favorite campgrounds. I'd like to see both parks stay open longer. Since COVID, more people have turned to camping and the parks are more crowded. With Holiday shutting down after Labor Day, getting a spot in Whitetail Ridge has become much more difficult. An additional dump station in Whitetail would be nice.

Nice quiet campground with quite a few secluded campsites and easy access to the water from several sites for kayaks and canoes or the dock for boats. Excellent cell coverage on T-Mobile and Verizon. Only caveat - the gates lock at night at 10 and you would be locked out until 7. You can still park and walk to your campsite from the gate - but it's a long walk.
