What Guests Are Saying
Whitetail Ridge offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained facilities. Many campers enjoyed the spacious, clean sites with lovely views of the lake, perfect for relaxation and outdoor activities like fishing and kayaking. However, recurring ant infestations and some dated restroom facilities were notable concerns, especially for those camping in tents; overall, it remains a favored destination for camping enthusiasts.

Love this campground, with a number of sites directly on the water. Level, quiet, well-maintained facilities. Our site (4) directly across from restroom only, with the showers a bit of a hike. Campground was a great mix of boaters, fishing, and family going into 4th of July weekend, but still quiet. Go to campground here in GA. Great staff and facilities.

Always love staying here. Clean bathrooms (could use some fans in summer).

We liked this campground very much, but we would choose a different site next time. We were camping in a tent. This site might be better with an RV. The campground has nice sites with privacy - lots of trees. Some sites are right on the lake. We had a nice view of the lake from our site. We were quite a long distance from the restrooms. We would definitely recommend this campground and we would stay here again.

A great place to relax and get peace. The CG is always clean and well maintained. The host this trip went beyond the expectations I expected. Thank you for that

I was in site 24. The lake is downhill at the back of the site, a little steep and not a clear path. Probably would be a good Fall site. The picnic table and firepit was a surprise, they are at the back of the site. Liked the site very much.

The campground is clean and well maintained. However, come prepared for ants because the Corps will not to anything to try to reduce or eradicate the invasive ant population.

We have been camping for many years and visit Whitetail as much as possible. As usual we had no trouble at all and totally enjoyed our time there

This was such a beautiful spot on the lake. So many birds! The site was level and lots of grass, which our Springer spaniel loved. She was able to hop right in and out of the water. If I had to list anything negative, I would say that the ants might carry you off! My best advice: Bring a honey bun and bait them away from your RV.
