Whitetail Ridge is a well maintained Corps of Engineers campground on the banks of West Point Lake. The sites are extremly spacious.
This campground is on the Chattahoochee River side of a large penincula. The Corps has a sister campground on the east side of the same peninsula named Holiday Campground.
Holiday Campground is on the banks of the Wehadkee Creek arm of West Point Lake. We prefer Holiday due to the cleaner waters of Wehadkee Creek.

Stayed on lot 57 it's close to the boat ramp so we got to watch all the boats and people trying to back down the ramp. It's was good entertainment while relaxing by the lake. I would stay there again.

This was my second time to camp at Whitetail Ridge. (my sisters and their children and grandchildren all live about 25 minutes from the campsite).
The camp "rangers" are SO FRIENDLY and helpful! The campgrounds are meticulously maintained. And...with my senior discount, I only have to pay $15 per night.
I'm already planning to be back next year, at the same time - revolving around Mother's Day!

Love this park. Something changed with our tv reception in a month. We are not sure why but maybe the foliage. We saw lots of birds and enjoyed the quiet except for the camper down the road leaving dogs inside who barked nonstop for hours. The good outweighed the bad. We love this site. It’s very private.
