Even though its a small campground, its very private. River running through it is beautiful. Nice 2 mile hike at back of campground.

We had a good time with the location due to its proximity to Helen. I wouldent have paid 80 dollars though had I known they were going to shut the water off. I could have camped for free in the WMA or National forest just as easy. Probably wont go back if theres no perk to paying the money for the spot. The chemical bathrooms were not clean either.

Had a great time here. We had spot 10 and it was right on the water which was lovely. There are reviews about how close the campground is to the main road, but it didn't bother us at all. It was a short drive to downtown Helen which was fun to go to for a day. It rained so we didn't get a chance to hike, but there are trails right at the campground to do so. Overall I would recommend!

I reserved space for four nights but stayed two because of the broken site driveway and entrance street. I was tired of navigating the huge gapping holes. I will not reserve the site 5 and the two sites near the upper part of the campground when I want to return. I do like the location to Helen and the trailhead. The campground is well maintained especially the vault bathroom.
Thanks for asking and thanks for this camping area.
