What Guests Are Saying
Andrew's Cove Campground offers a private and picturesque setting with a beautiful river running through it and access to a nice 2-mile hiking trail. Many visitors appreciated its proximity to Helen, GA, and the well-maintained facilities, despite some complaints about road noise and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. While some sites may have issues like uneven ground or poor access, the overall ambiance and natural surroundings make it a rewarding camping experience.

I like how small this campground is, it felt sorta intimate. It's nestled into a little corner of the hills, with lots of trees, so it stayed shady. There's one trailhead within the grounds. The proximity to several trails in the area is a great reason to stay here. The road leading to sites 5-7 and trail is pretty beat-up. Any car can make it, just be careful. The biggest annoyance for me was the noise of cars from the rd. The campground sits at the apex of this sharp curve in the road, so you hear everyone hitting the gas coming out of the curve and the sound is amplified by the land. It was really loud at site 5, where I was. Maybe the spots by the stream aren't bad, the sound could be drowned out. People on that road are driving vehicles with loud engines too- lots of sports cars and motorcycles testing their limits it seemed. It did quiet down at night, but fairly early in the morning started up again (7-8ish). Overall, OK. A good place to camp to explore the area, not so much if you want to chill at camp expecting quiet.

Surprisingly nice little campground especially if you are in the back (not site 1 for sure; 2, 3, 4 and 5 may have some road noise but the stream flowing through the campground keep that at bay). Close to Helen GA (south) and the AT (north); stream holds trout. Nice 2 mile hike upstream to the AT. No Verizon cell phone coverage.

Great campsite overall, very secluded up the hill above the other sites and still close to the bathroom The parking spot may be more treacherous for smaller cars but definitely doable. It’s just up a small hill is all.

Sites are tent friendly. Everything there is uneven except the tent pads.
Great location.
