Hike the Andrews Cove Trail or go fishing in the creek, all within walking distance of your campsite. This campground has good creek side locations. We hardly were bothered by bugs. Definitely bear activity here so pack in and out accordingly. Fire right was okay but half buried. Our site also had a few roots through the tent pad which may make it uncomfortable for others to use. There is 1 single bathroom that has no sink and is a Latrine type toilet. It is located towards the back of the campground and IS NOT the larger building.

Campsite was a great location, plenty of shade and a creek runs through the center. Previous campers had left garbage hanging so we had to dispose of it, this campground has chemical toilets and does not feature garbage cans.

The campground is tucked into the forest at a bend in the road that leads up to the gap. There is a lot of road noise for the sites in ththee front of the campground. It is acceptable for a night- I stayed 2 nights. The campground really needs some TLC and maintenance though to repair some roads, tentsites, and facilities.

Great spot, convenient hiking, beautiful creek with sites on either side. The road noise was louder than a lot of reviews led on, but you can manage.

Even though its a small campground, its very private. River running through it is beautiful. Nice 2 mi hike at back of campground.

We had a good time with the location due to its proximity to Helen. I wouldent have paid 80 dollars though had I known they were going to shut the water off. I could have camped for free in the WMA or National forest just as easy. Probably wont go back if theres no perk to paying the money for the spot. The chemical bathrooms were not clean either.
