What Guests Are Saying
Andrew's Cove Campground offers a private and picturesque setting with a beautiful river running through it and access to a nice 2-mile hiking trail. Many visitors appreciated its proximity to Helen, GA, and the well-maintained facilities, despite some complaints about road noise and the cleanliness of the bathrooms. While some sites may have issues like uneven ground or poor access, the overall ambiance and natural surroundings make it a rewarding camping experience.

Cute campground in beautiful creek. An amazing creek runs right through the middle of the campground. I absolutely loved this place and will 100% be coming back.

We stayed in site 4. I love that the water is right next to it, but there are steps between the parking and the tent pad. By the end of the weekend I was tired of going back and forth. Our rig is a 4x4 Checy Epxress Van and a tow behind camper with a rooftop tent that is 12ft long. We fit in the parking spot without detaching but backing up was difficult because there is a big ditch across the road. It's pretty level too.
The bathrooms are outdated, but they were clean and had toilet paper. I've seen much worse. I had no issues bring my 3 small kids in there to use them.
We stayed in November and the road noise was loud. You can hear everything. The stone picnic tables are old and ours was cracked and missing a church but still functional. The fire pits was nice large with good grill that swivels. W
We will definitely be coming back in the summer for the kids to play in the water.

I would not recommend this campsite. It is way too close to the highway. Sight 1 is within 30 feet of the highway. It’s very loud and not what we expected. We ended up leaving within 5 minutes and camping on the forest service road a few miles up the mountain.
If you have small children, please do not camp here. I wish I could receive a refund because I had no clue how close this was to the actual highway.

This is a beautiful campground with clean and well maintained campsites and tent pads, many along the stream. The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because the bathroom was less than desirable. The bathroom needs to be fixed. Other than that it is peaceful and quiet, and the location is great, being fifteen minutes from Helen, Ga.

While some folks might find a campground without water, power, or phone service a negative, it was exactly what I was looking for. What a lovely little campground just off the road, where you can hear the babble of the stream and birdsong.
My only recommendation would be to update the bathroom facilities - they work, but not quite as designed anymore

I have camped here for over thirty years. It's an amazing location. A mountain stream divides the site. You can walk to Maine from the camp site on the trail that is found at the back. Helen GA is ten minutes away. My happy place.
