There was a problem with the shower drain in one of the bath houses. After reporting this to the managers they took care of it the next morning. Clean and well-run campground.

Had a great stay at Lake Rabun Campground. We reserve site 66 for tent camping and couldn't ask for a better secluded spot with water and electricity. The campground managers were super nice and informative. The nearby bath house was extremely clean. And we really enjoyed the nice 3 mile hike to and from the campground waterfalls. Definitely worth it.
Can't wait to visit again.

This is our second camping in Lake Rabun, and we have done multiple camping across different places of Georgia. By far, this is the best place for camping as it provides plenty of activities to do and true wilderness camping experience. While this is the positive side of our experience, we had a terrible experience with the co-host (man voice, we did not see in person). The host (lady) whom we met in the daytime was considerate and approachable, while the co-host was mean and arrogant. There were no RV or tent campers surrounding our camp sites on the day two. Our group included kids as young as 3 years and with kids there is always a bit of sound when they are still not in bed. The camp Co-host came exactly at 10.10PM and reminded us on quite hours that we agreed to. While he was leaving, couple of the kids were playing a game and he heard the sound and he yelled and threatened that if he hears another sound, he will force us to vacate the campground right away. It was extremely rude and unnecessary to say those words to the group. All adults felt extremely bad and had a deep urge to vacate the camp site late in the night. Unfortunately, we did not have any cellular coverage and our maps would not work for the directions back home. Unbelievably, one of us was also into tears for this attitude by the co-host and helplessness situation we were in. There was complete lack of empathy by the person who threatened us. We came to the camp site with the bear warning, but never felt threatened by bears but we were threatened by the co-host for sure. All in all, this will go into our books for a long time to not to consider Lake Rabun for future camping. I hope the managements sees this and will bring positive changes at the least helping future campers to go back with good memories.

The bathhouse was always spotless.
The driveway into site 54 is washed out to the point that I had difficulty getting out of the site without damage. I was told that the concessionaire has been aware of the problem for over a year.

This is such a haven in North Georgia. Although there are several tables that desperately need to replaced. Our site had a table with huge holes in the top and benches that pooled water from the previous days of rain. It never did dry out. The camp manager was great and kept everything clean.

Site 51 - first time at this cg. We enjoyed the area and the site. Staff were friendly and super helpful.
We chose this site due to its isolation and privacy in relation to the other sites. Ample space for equipment and enough parking for 3-4 cars if you have visitors.
This site does not have a water spigot due to its remote location in the cg but a public spigot is available by the bathrooms.
Bathrooms are clean and updated with good water pressure and temperature.
There is a small stream that is alongside the site to lull you to sleep and provides a nice cool breeze.
The only caveat to this site is there is a trail (Angel falls) that is close and elevated above this site that is not shown on the cg maps.

Beach is very small and poorly maintained.
Roads in campground are poorly maintained - some portions are nearly impassable due to cracked and broken pavement.
Campsites are difficult to navigate with a camping trailer. In order to leave my campsite to exit the campground, I had to pull up the hill, back into an empty campsite, then exit that campsite to turn down the hill. Had that site not been empty, I don't know what I could have done, since it was impossible to exit my site and turn down the hill.
Reservations are locked once started, and we were unable to modify our 4-day reservation down to 2 days, even though we needed to leave after 2 days. My attempt to cancel after 2 days also failed.
Bottom line, I feel ripped off for two days' fee $50.
