What Guests Are Saying
Morganton Point is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and friendly hosts, creating a peaceful camping experience. Many visitors appreciate the well-maintained grounds and the location's proximity to hiking trails and outdoor activities. However, some concerns include uneven sites for larger campers, limited full-hookup availability, and issues with check-in processes. Overall, the campground remains a favorite for many returning guests.

One of my favorite spots. The best sites for lake access are tent sites on the peninsula and sites 6 and 7

The campground is very well kept. The host greeted and welcomed us immediately and offered to deliver firewood and/or ice if needed. Our campsite was not very level at all, so it took some work to get the camper level. We would stay at the campground again, but definitely choose a different site. The bathhouse was very clean - the only downside is that the water in the showers is on a timer (10 seconds) and the temperature cannot be changed. It's hard to find the button to push to restart the water when you have soap in your eyes.

I thought it was kind of crowded and loud. A different camp site maybe by the lake would have been better.

The site is quiet and clean. Washroom looks like new built, very clean and well maintained. Near by shores are great places to be visited. The days we went, a group of young people were making rock cairns. They were doing fantastic cairns, we guessed they were physics majors. What a view they gave us!!!
