We stayed at standard, non-electric site for one night. We tent camped but family was meeting us with a camper the next day and there was no way to safely park a camper at this site with how inclined it was so we only stayed one night. Additionally, the host was a bit rude and condescending. When we arrived we asked basic questions about what sites were available since Recreation.gov showed a few and this man was just incredibly rude treating us like idiots for not knowing they were reservation-only sites. Then he questioned what kind of state we were in when I told him I was unsure whose name the reservation we had was under (because again there were multiple of us and I couldn’t recall whose name I put). Anyway, all in all not a great experience. Park looked nice but the customer service really kept us from enjoying it.

The campground is very well kept with great facilities. It’s close enough to Ingles to shop each night for dinner, but far enough away that campers aren’t bothered by the sounds of traffic. There are plenty of hiking trails and it’s a great base point for a weekend of motorcycle riding.
