The campground was really shady, my site, #12 was not level but I was able to make do. I had water and Electricity. Shower house was clean and hot water was great. Camp host drove by everyday.
We had a tornado watch for about 14 hrs. Severe storms too but we were safe. I would love to go back with more time.

The only important concern is that when I went to the dump station, contrary to normal practice by any camper using the station, the host told me I could not use the nonpotable water to flush out my dark tank before leaving. She said we could not use their water to do that according to forest service. I called the forest service to ask what I am supposed to do when trying to clean the tank before leaving a campground but have not heard from my message left for them.

Beautiful campground. Well dispersed for campers to have some privacy. RD the host was exceptional! Walking along the shoreline is a wonderful peaceful experience. Birds abound. Highly recommended. Very well kept.

Morganton Point is a fave. Campsites are a little dated but serviceable. Facilities are good and they are now paving stretches of the road towards the back. R.D. Is one of the best campground hosts around. Always helpful and keeps things running smoothly.

Campers are able to utilize the day use area for free, but if you have a vehicle parked in the day use parking lot then you have to pay the day use fee. You can be dropped off at the day use area and park at your campsite if you like. |
