The ferry crew and NPS staff and volunteers helped make this two day camping trip a very enjoyable experience. This was my 10th camping trip to Cumberland and every time has been memorable. Highly recommend the Land and Legacies tour.

I was surprised that I was not able to print my permit via my mobile device (iPhone). It would be helpful to have that functionality for people who only use mobile. Even better would be not having to print a document but I don't know how that would work in the wilderness where there is no mobile connectivity to prove you have a permit if needed.
Cumberland Island is a magical place and every human should spend time there. It is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. Recommend camping at Stafford and day hiking the north part of the island in November as the camping at Brickhill Bluff was SUPER buggy this time of year. We had rain and very little breeze making the bug situation worse. Lot of biting bugs. Bring your deet and a bug net if you are staying at Brickhill or any wilderness site in the warmer months. We visited previously in December and it was much cooler, the biting bugs were not an issue at all so I suppose it is all dependent on the humidity, temperature and breeze.
Excellent experience. Thank you.

The campsite was great, and the island is wonderful. We didn't want to leave. The Park Rangers and staff were all very nice and helpful.

Majestic, Enchanting, Perfect ... still doesn't come close to describing this beautiful place... We had a wonderful time camping! We camped in September and did not experience the bugs we were so worried about. We had perfect weather all four days we were there! We took our electric bikes and explored the entire island! We used electricity at the Sea Camp bathhouse, where we camped, Plumb Orchard and all the way to the North End of the Island! So, if you have electric bikes don't be worried about running out of juice ... there are several places to charge up while you enjoy a romantic picnic ... we had the best time!

Cumberland Island was such a magical place! Crazy twisted live oaks, so many animals, the beach, ruins from the Gilded Age— what's not to like! One of the information signs explained that the process of "salt pruning" causes the trees to grown lower and more twisted which I talked about for weeks. The rangers were super helpful and they even have a booklet for kids to earned their own Jr. Ranger badge, which they loved.
