Day use visitors parking in campsites. One campsite visitor had four vehicles, two were parked in a vacant campsite. Played music and ran generator at all hours. No host seen during our 6 day stay. Un-attended fires and no USFS employees seen during our stay. Firepits had been cleaned, and campsite was in good condition.

I was camped for two nights between two different large parties taking up multiple sites who had zero concern for quiet hours or courtesy. Loud music, shouting, fighting, and off leash dogs. The second night I moved to an unoccupied camp site to get farther away, but the noise was hard to totally escape. The campground was fine, but overall it was a poor experience. I had reservations for a third night but left because I couldn't take another night of that.

Water spigots not working/go un-repaired for years. Fire pit ash piles unsightly, should be removed. Insufficient trees or poorly placed pole for tent ridge-line. Host gathers/takes left firewood each morning. Not accommodating.

The fire rings were almost filled to the top with ash, the US forestry service guys were constantly coming through but not stopping and chatting (felt like they didn't want anyone there), the trash bins were full.

No host. No Forest Service Law Enforcement Officers or Forest Service workers seen during our stay. Lots of people using it for day camping and parking in camping spots. I love that this site has switched to a reservation system but there appears to be little or no enforcement. Fire pits had been cleaned. No cell service but that's how we like it. Time to disconnect.

Good fishing! Bring an odor eliminator for the restrooms. No cell service. One of the reasons we like Coopers.

Campground was clean, restrooms were clean, trash bins were empty, and the fish were biting. The only negative comment is the forestry road (first entrance off 60, not by Cooper Creek Store) was absolutely terrible. We have a pickup, and it was difficult to travel. Would recommend skipping this exit and taking the one by the Cooper Creek Store, it's much better on your vehicle.

From Blue Ridge, GA: take US 515 north for 4 miles to GA Hwy. 60; turn right and go 2 miles to Morganton, GA. In Morganton, turn right on GA Hwy. 60 south for 15.5 miles. Turn left on Forest Service Road 4, go 6 miles.
From Blairsville, GA: GA take US 515 south 2.5 miles to Kiutuestia Creek Road. Turn left, go 1.3 miles. Turn left on Old 76 for 100 feet and then turn right on Mulky Gap Road. Go 9 miles to Cooper Creek Campground
From Dahlonega, GA: GA take GA Hwy. 60 north for 26 miles; turn right on Forest Service Road 4, go 6 miles.
Mulky Campground(Mulky Loop) is 1/10 of a Mile south of Cooper Creek Campgound(Cooper Creek Loop)

- • THERE IS NO CELLPHONE COVERAGE IN THIS RECREATION AREA • DO NOT RUN GENERATORS DURING QUIET HOURS. • ALTHOUGH TRASH RECEPTICLES ARE AVAILABLE, WE ASK THAT YOU TAKE AS MUCH TRASH WITH YOU AS YOU CHECK-OUT. • LIMIT OF TWO VEHICLES PER CAMPSITE EXCEPT FOR THE GROUP SITE. #24 • PETS MUST BE ON A LEASH AT ALL TIMES. • CAMPFIRES ARE PERMITTED IN GRILLS ONLY. • DISCHARGING OF FIREARMS AND FIREWORKS IS PROHIBITED. • DRINKING WATER IS AVAILABLE FROM 4/1 THROUGH 10/31. • DO NOT LEAVE FIRES UNATTENDED. THEY MUST BE EXTINGUISHED BEFORE CHECK-OUT. • BE BEAR AWARE! KEEP ALL FOOD IN CONTAINERS OR LOCKED INSIDE A VEHICLE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. THIS RULE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED!
