The guy in the site I had reserved for 2 weeks told me he was leaving around noon. I came back after 1pm and the camp host was on the site and reminded me that I could not set up my tent until after 3pm even though I told her that I had talked to the person who had just left the site. I told her I knew the rules, leave by 2pm and can’t set up until after 3pm, but I didn’t think there would be any problems if the other camper had already left earlier??? Also, she didn’t enforce the dog leash rule or the use of generators after 10pm.

This is our 10th year going to Coopers for the same week in April. Overall, a decent experience. There is a new camp host, who is by far anything but a “host” who has handwritten notes duct taped all over the campsites, which just looks tacky and unsightly. She also called DNR and the sheriff on one of the campers who were talking too loudly after 10pm. Rather than just go tell them to quiet down, 3 different law enforcement agencies showed up at daylight the next morning…. Definitely not the way to handle things. The toilets were full, which was just gross. I’ve used them for years, and understand their function. But when it is so full that the contents splash up on you, things change. Definitely a disappointing trip.

We had three campsites. Primary one we used was the Group Site 24. It was a great location!! Great size for 4 vehicles / 4 large tents and more🙂. The Suches area is one of my favorite places to disconnect & relax!

Same weekend as the last 52 years, I’ve had the pleasure again to enjoy this beautiful place. I certainly appreciate the work the men and women of the forestry department do to keep these facilities clean and safe. Thank you for your service.

Always a great time . Sites are always clean and nature is so relaxing. Bathrooms are a large convenience just bring TP as a backup .

Cooper creek was amazing. It’s quiet and beautiful. The only negative I could possibly say is the bathroom was kind of far and there wasn’t a good hidden spot any closer to go outside. That being said, I’ll be back many times.

We always love Cooper Creek Camping. Very cold this time though and there were not any fish in the stream. Would have thought that it would have been stocked.
