What Guests Are Saying

Huckleberry Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts who take pride in their work. The beautiful setting by the river offers opportunities for relaxation and outdoor activities, making it a favorite for families. However, some guests noted noise from nearby logging trucks and felt that the pricing was high, especially regarding additional fees for electricity.

Fly fishing was great just upstream from the campground. We were able to walk out of our campsite to fish. Clean facilities and a really nice place.

Lovely spot on the river. Log trucks start on the road around 330 am, some using their Jake brakes. Not conducive to sleeping.

A great campground along the St. Joe River 29 miles East of Saint Maries, Idaho. Very clean vault toilets and clean campground.
Fly fisherman were fishing in the river, catch and release for trout. Avery is a interesting town. Ask in Avery for directions to Gravel road on old Milwaukee Rail line takes one to Wallace. Go through tunnels and over trestles with beautiful scenic drive, car or ATV.

Clean and well kept. Great location. Nice hookups (water & Elect) and good level ground for small trailer. Our particular campsite could have been better described (A-6, between wood pile, power station and highway!). WiFi was inconsistent and unreliable. Nice & clean restrooms.

Love the Joe and really LOVE the reservation system for spots. Always hated driving up the river and hoping spaces were available. This system is far better.
