What Guests Are Saying
Huckleberry Campground is praised for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts who take pride in their work. The beautiful setting by the river offers opportunities for relaxation and outdoor activities, making it a favorite for families. However, some guests noted noise from nearby logging trucks and felt that the pricing was high, especially regarding additional fees for electricity.

Beautiful area, wonderful camp hosts. During our visit we seen a lot of the countryside and enjoyed delightful campfires each evening.

Great campground. Superb facilities, location for fishing, and the camp hosts are top notch. Come here every September for great fly fishing on the St. Joe River.

While I was working at the school in Calder, I was be able to stay at Huckelberry. Everyday that was not planned was happily granted by the host. it was difficult because the campground was full, but they worked with me and found a place for me each night. However, it was a good thing I was working because the logging trucks start around 3am.

The campers next to us were playing music and talking loudly (presumably drinking and partying) way late into the night. Incidentally the camp host was across from us, but did nothing about the noise. Logging trucks on nearby road were quite loud as they drove through the bend.
Other than noise, the campground is clean, and the area is pretty.
