We loved our time at Huckleberry Park. The spaces were so nice with your own private grass area, picnic table and fire ring. All was very clean and friendly hosts were available.

Excellent Camp Host Team, all staff are very helpful, supportive and friendly. Facilities well maintained and restrooms, campsites, and grounds are clean and inviting. Beautiful location along St Joe River and easy access to surrounding mountain roads and trails. Only wish it was another 500 yards away from main road, commercial trucks are sometimes loud in early morning hours but ear plugs solve that one. One of the best managed campgrounds I have stayed at in recent years.

We were not familiar with the reservation process, the park ranger was ever so helpful, kind, courteous. We have stayed at Huckelberry campground many times in the past, it has been and always will be our go to camp ground. Outstanding fly fishing and just nice quite time.
Camp Hosts were great also.

We really enjoyed the stay at Huckleberry Campground ! It was clean, quiet, beautiful with helpful and friendly staff. We did have a difficult time getting registered! The online registration was very frustrating for us and others! We were unable to tell which sites were reserved and had to change sites because of this. With so many seniors camping and not all are computer savvy, it would be much less complicated to physically register when we arrive . It also leaves the opportunity to stay longer should we wish. Please bring back physical registrations on site!

Fly fishing was great just upstream from the campground. We were able to walk out of our campsite to fish. Clean facilities and a really nice place.

Lovely spot on the river. Log trucks start on the road around 330 am, some using their Jake brakes. Not conducive to sleeping.

A great campground along the St. Joe River 29 miles East of Saint Maries, Idaho. Very clean vault toilets and clean campground.
Fly fisherman were fishing in the river, catch and release for trout. Avery is a interesting town. Ask in Avery for directions to Gravel road on old Milwaukee Rail line takes one to Wallace. Go through tunnels and over trestles with beautiful scenic drive, car or ATV.
