What Guests Are Saying
Amanita campground offers a scenic, lakefront location with abundant wildlife and is easily accessible. Many visitors enjoyed their stay, appreciating its natural setting and proximity to Lake Cascade, along with quiet areas for relaxation. However, concerns were raised about the lack of shade, noise disturbances, and difficulties with site access, particularly for larger trailers, as well as the presence of poison ivy and oak.

Our site was entirely in the sun with no shade from the trees. The fire pit was filled with burnt metal and plastic that we had to fish out. No camp host so no one to enforce quiet hours. Kids were screaming and playing instruments until 11 pm and adults were having a screaming match until 3 am. Other sites we walked past were similarly trashed. Also no lake access for those camped not on the lake.

Site against the one way. Road a little overgrown. Not the greatest for trailers. Will not be returning for these reasons

Great spot near Tamarack. Our spot #9 had a direct path to beach. Bring extra shade. Small, fairly quiet campground. Nice host.

We loved this campground last year. This year we got a different site #. This spot had no trees for shade and not a single place flat enough for a tent. So we headed home. Super disappointed.

We were excited to make a reservation at Amanita again after it was reopened, because we love this quiet little campground. It was sad to see how many trees had to be removed. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay very much. It's a natural setting, close to Lake Cascade. There is a nice fishing bridge not too far away. If you want to launch a small boat, there's a nice spot to do that nearby as well. Cell phone service is good.

I loved this campground and campsite. Many trees were removed but there were still enough left. Right across the little road is a secluded grassy spot to sit overlooking the lake. There is a hefty drop to the waters edge but if you go to campsite#10 there is a short trail to a beautiful sandy beach. Great swim spot. Not buggy when I was there mid July.

The campground was nice and area was beautiful . They cut down quite a few trees. We brought our rv trailer which is 29β end to end and it was very difficult getting into our site due to the placement of rocks making it difficult to turn. I like how close it is to Tamarack.
We probably wonβt go back to this site because the sites are so small.

We identified a large amount of Poison Oak and Poison Ivy in the camping area. Some of it right in the campgrounds. There was a sign warning about bears, but no sign warning about the very harmful plants. We recommend posting warning about the poison oak and poison ivy.
