What Guests Are Saying
Amanita campground offers a scenic, lakefront location with abundant wildlife and is easily accessible. Many visitors enjoyed their stay, appreciating its natural setting and proximity to Lake Cascade, along with quiet areas for relaxation. However, concerns were raised about the lack of shade, noise disturbances, and difficulties with site access, particularly for larger trailers, as well as the presence of poison ivy and oak.

Positives:
1- campsite is lake front!
2-Lots of wildlife, birds, egrets, cranes, ducks, geese, ravens, deer, etc.
3-easy to access
Could be improved:
1- while lakeside, the only way to get your watercraft in the lake is either to boat ramp or down a steep crevice right behind the campsite.
2- No shade is this site, bring your canopy
3- Road noise is apparent.
Overall, I would not book this spot again, maybe another lakeside spot.

They cut down almost all the trees. Plan on lots of sun. Great campground though and right on the water.

Nice campground. Clean facilities, great little beaches along the shore. Site oo2 was a bit of a disappointment. The camper pad is against the grain of the one way road. We had to go the wrong way to be able to back in. The trees have all been cut around the site and along the highway, due to beetle kill. So there's hardly any shade. The picnic table is broken and missing one of the table top slats. Lots of thistle.

Very clean, quiet, and nice little beaches by the lake to swim and fish. Also close to trails for riding. Very pleased with our stay and we would definitely visit again!

The campground was nice and clean and we really liked the location. We reserved spot number 6 which said it could accommodate a 30 ft travel trailer which was far from reality. We had an 18 ft trailer and could barely get it in the spot with our towing vehicle. The spot was also aimed the wrong direction so (with permission of the camp host) we had to drive backwards through the one way loop just to be able to back the trailer in. Otherwise, it’s a nice campground and I would go back, but reserve a different spot.

Beautiful location with tall shade trees, private campsite settings with views to lake. Cleanest vault toilets ever experienced. Friendly host. Some road noise still evident at night. Lake had toxic algae bloom when we were there mid September.

Nice place to get away. Water was low, but still beautiful. Camping sites were large and very clean. Will go again in the beginning of the season. Lots of space between sites, so plenty of privacy.

Very nice campground. I stayed in site 5 just off shore of Lake Cascade. Well maintained and camp host Jim was very helpful 🙏. I had good cell connection with Verizon. I would definitely stay here again.

Amanita is a beautiful campground along Cascade Lake. The camp sites are nicely spaced among the trees so that neighbors are not too close. This area is quiet and very relaxing. There are no direct hookups to water, but it is easily accessible. Some sites are a bit tight to get into if you have a travel trailer along with your vehicle.
