What Guests Are Saying
Black Rock Campground is a beautiful and remote spot along the North Fork of the Boise River, offering a peaceful atmosphere with well-spaced sites and easy access to trails and swimming areas. While some amenities like the water pump and fire pits need attention, and issues with noise from generators and aggressive bees were noted, many campers enjoyed their experiences and appreciated the natural setting. Overall, it's recommended for those who come prepared and are seeking a rustic camping experience.

We loved this little campground. The spaces were spread far apart so you were not on top of your neighbors. We had a view of the river. The campground was clean and well maintained. The surrounds were amazing. It was a trek to get into with 18 miles of twisty dirt road. The water pump in the campground took a long time to fill our 5 gallon containers.
You have to pump it by hand. Despite this the experience was well worth the efforts. We can't wait to go back to Black Rock. It is one of our favorite places.

Avoid site #3 if your trailer opens on the passenger side and site #4, unless you don't mind the dirt flying on you as the ATV'ers drive by. This campground doesn't have a host on site. In the evenings, be prepared to listen to a variety of loud music and generators since there is nobody to monitor the campground rules.
