Beautiful place on the Buffalo River that we incidentally found 4 or 5 years ago! Wish we used kayaks as this has to be one of the finest lazy rivers for that experience! Close proximity to Yellowstone if not able to stay in the Park.
Thank you for a wonderful, restful couple of days!!

The Campground host was amazing and very helpful. This was our first time out with our 5th wheel (that we've since gotten rid of) and it could have been much worse if not for this helpful man. There was also another 5th wheel person in the next loop who helped us. People can be very kind. It was a good experience.

The spot that we were in is a very tight turn to get into

Other than all the rain, it was a great 4 night experience. The paved campsite was nice. There was no mud to deal with even with all the rain. The camp hosts were very friendly and helped us settle right in. A few neighbors didn't think the dog on leash rules applied to them. But, that's pretty common with any campground. Located along the Buffalo River is ideal. Even though the Island Park area can get very crowded, you don't feel it in this campground. I think they use to have flushing toilets here, but the newer vault toilets were well maintained.

Great campground hosts. Pleasant and accomodating. Campground clean and restrooms clean. One negative is the road into the campground loops is very rough and full of potholes. Needs to be fixed.

The camp hosts were great. The toilet vaults were the cleanest I have seen. You can tell they take pride in taking good care of them.
We had some mosquitos to deal with, as usual in a camp near water.
Our hosts let us consolidate our three scattered campsites into one area so our group could be closer together. I am sure that caused them more work and we appreciated it.

Great campsite in a fun location with a creek nearby to float and the reservoir not far away.

Spent over a week here and it was awesome. Our loop B host was Garett and he was super friendly and a lot of help. However, the Area Camp Hosts that are parked right where you drive in, were not so friendly. We mistakenly used the wrong exit when leaving the ATV parking and he made sure rip into us. He could have easily handled it better and been kind about it, but decided to put a bummer on the rest of our day. Our individual camp host was great, it was just the area camp host that made it a downer.
As far as the camp site itself goes, it was pretty great. It’s listed to fit a 35 foot trailer but I think that might be pushing it. We have a 27 footer and that seemed to be just right. The campsite is almost always shaded which makes it great on hot days. I was trying to use Starlink and I could never get it to run consistently because of the thick trees overhead. You could either find a different spot or use a poll the get a better signal. You are also right next to the River so if you decide to float, you can easily get out right at your campsite. Bathrooms and water are really close which made it nice as well. The bathroom did tend to get stinky every once in a while but that’s understandable.
Overall, it was a really fun experience, if I come back I would totally use this campsite again.
