What Guests Are Saying
Buttermilk Campground receives numerous positive reviews for its cleanliness, well-maintained facilities, and friendly camp hosts. Reviewers appreciate the spacious campsites, recent upgrades, and the peaceful environment, especially after Labor Day. However, some concerns were raised about the condition of the access road and occasional noise from nearby boat traffic, as well as specific issues with odors and worn picnic tables at certain sites. Overall, many guests express a desire to return and recommend the campground.

Awesome clean campground. Camp host clearly explained camp rules on day one. We did our best to follow and had a wonderful time. We took our bikes and rode them around the campground and the lake. So fun.

Quiet and clean campground. Right by the water so I could fish every morning and evening and go kayaking the rest of the day.

Loved having our own little trail through the pines to the lake.

Site #B27 was nice enough. Could barely see a view of the lake through the trees. Boaters and jet skiers very loud, blaring music that could probably be heard for miles. The campground itself was pretty quiet, bathrooms were very clean.

It was a beautiful place. The fact that they are not ohv friendly is not ok. We came down to ride our toys. I’m street legal and therefore legal on any roadway. One of the hosts had a sxs with him but chased us down to tell me I couldn’t ride in and out of the campground. We won’t be back and have told our friends and family to stay away.
