When we got to our campsite it was very clean. But there was a very very strong smell of URINE where we were supposed to park our trailer. Our friends had come to check out our site before we got there and they said the same thing. They noticed it right away. We said something thing to the camp host and they just kind of shrugged it off like it wasn’t a big deal. It was disgusting and disappointing. The hotter it got the worse the smell got and the flies were terrible right where the smell was. We had to spend the first hour of our camping trip trying to get rid of the urine smell.
The picnic table is so coming half way out of the ground and was so tilted we couldn’t use it. It is in need of desperate repair! And the bathrooms being under construction would have been nice to know before hand for those who were staying in tents and didn’t have access to bathrooms in a rv. The porta potties were gross.
We have stayed in this site before and loved it. That is why we chose to come back. Other than those few things it was great. We caught fish down on the docks and really enjoyed the time with family who also chose to stay in the campground. I feel like since we are paying more for a bigger site and had water and electricity at a premium rate, we should have had a better environment to host our family. We ended up spending most of our time at a much smaller site, because of the urine smell and not being able to use the table.
We are planning another trip next summer with our family and are hoping for a great trip. But we might have to start choosing to boondock if the costs and fees keep increasing and there isn’t improvement being done to the site.

The campsite was very clean. We had the camp host come by and apologize for that they hadn’t been by to clean due to the person left late but wit was very nice. The camp hosts help accommodate family friends which came in. The porta potty’s were extremely clean. They made our time very enjoyable.

The camp site was enjoyable and well taken care of. The camp hosts were wonderful and very helpful. Our family enjoyed the outing. Even with thunderstorms and hail. :)
