Make sure to pick up your key for the group spot! We didnt see anywhere that we were supposed to pick up a key so we thought we were locked out in the dark. Once we realized we had to go to the camp hosts they were amazing and gave us the key. They were suuuuuper friendly even though it was 9:00 and they were off duty. We didnt have a super big group but the spot was perfect for having some privacy. The pavilion has power and lights which was great for setting up in the dark. There isn't really flat tent spots close to the pavilion but lots of camper hook ups and bathrooms. There are tent spots up the road a little ways. The view was a breathtaking suprise when we woke up in the morning! We were right above the water. When the water is low the banks are super steep so its really a lot more fun having a boat but would still be a great time without. Were hoping to make this a yearly trip!

Nice campground with showers and a covered outside table. Campsites are fairly close together, but provide a nice place to park while enjoying a day of fishing. Places to walk and a wonderful playground for the kids to enjoy.

This campground was absolutely amazing! You get full hook ups and clean bathrooms with showers. The reservoir was so beautiful and the water was warm. They have a nice playground area for children to play! And the best part it’s only 20.00 a night and if your a senior like us, it’s only 10.00! So Orfino is about 50 minutes away, so if you are staying awhile bring lots of ice, food, etc, so you don’t have to make another trip down the mountain!

The good:Dent acres is gorgeous and we were able to fish and Paddle board in the gorgeous lake.
The bad: Site #14 we booked for our camper, though 60ish ft had an angle on both sides that made it impossible to get in or out without ruining the camper. For reference, it's a fifth wheel 35ft long. We bent our spare tire trying to get into the site. And then we spent 2 HOURS, yes 2 trying to get out, and 37 miles just going back and forth so we wouldn't scrape or get stuck. We walked the camper down by using leveling blocks and tried everything under the sun. Unfortunately, we resigned to scraping the bottom of the back bumper. We then noticed multiple scrapes on the ground from previous campers. I just wish someone could've told me that site 14 is probably not good if your camper is more than 20-25 feet.

We love coming to Dent, been doing so for 10+ years. We’ve been spoiled. In the past bathrooms cleaned daily, this year maybe a spritz and that was it, no TP, etc. MOW the sites, the place was relatively empty and we didn’t see a mower once. Our sites needed to be mowed!! The volunteers that were there were nice, cordial and engaging, not sure if the didn’t do their jobs or were allowed to.

Great campground. Nicely maintained. The road up is a paved but a bit rough and twisty. Still, a great getaway right on the lake/reservior.

It is nice when the reservoir is full to be able to use the campgrounds with out having to pack your camp gear up a muddy bank or up a hill for a few hundred feet
