We have been camping at Dent Acres for two weeks, twice a year for over five years, we love it! Over the years we have had our kids join us, now our grand kids join us, ages 2-22, there is something for everyone. They have a great playground for the younger kids, a boat ramp if you go skiing, fishing, or just relaxing on the water. If you like to go 4 wheeling, there is miles and miles of trails for dirt bikes, quads, and side by sides. Elk river is 20 miles away by dirt road if you get a sweet tooth for ice cream, or if you need supplies, the city of Orofino is within driving distance. As for the campground itself, it is wonderful. The RV spaces are full hook ups with plenty of room to pitch a tent or three. The volunteer staff are great, friendly and helpful. Ed and Kirk (this year’s volunteers) were awesome. The restroom/showers are always clean and stocked. Dent Acres is very family friendly, I have nothing bad to say about it. We are looking forward to our next two week visit in September! I give it five out of five thumps up 👍👍👍👍👍.

Once you make it here, it's amazing. It's a very steep trip up the mountain and then down the other side! If you're coming from the North, it's easier to go through Moscow and Elk to get here. We took this road home, and it was so much easier on the breaks and the trailer. The bathrooms here are spotless and smell very clean. The camp volunteers are friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was the fire rings are so close to the trailers. We had to put the awning in, and the side of the trailer did get hot to the touch. If you enjoy boating or fishing this is the place. This campground is great if you intend to stay the duration of your trip. We had to drive back and forth to Orofino daily for baseball, which was about 40 minutes one way. We will be coming back to this location for sure.
