We had a wonderful time. My 10 yr old said it was the best camping trip ever. Which is saying a lot. Kids rode there bikes and loved it. The park ranger stopped by and i asked him some questions and he was very nice and helpful. Great price for all the hook- ups. Beautiful views and quite nights. The only downside was the water was very low so we weren't able to go swimming. We ended up going to Elk River to swim and the water very dirty. We will definitely be going there again.

Checking in is ridiculous! There is nothing user friendly or logical about it! We love the campground but the COVID issues that make it so hard to check in are way over the top!

It was clean and well maintained. Would go again. The road getting there was horrible with dips, bumps, pot holes, and holes as big as the whole wheel. Lots of twist and turns and climbing. Have good brakes.

Always amazes me that state and federal campgrounds are staffed by such wonderful volunteers. The facilities are ALWAYS in very good condition and staff is always friendly and helpful.

We have loved Camping at Dent Acres for over 30 years. The view of the stars at night is Magical. This year to our dismay we found new lights had been installed on the north and south sides of the shower-bathroom Facility. Whoever selected the Type of lights made a huge error. Image you are on the freeway at night and approach a construction crew working under their portable lights. That’s approximately how bright it is!!! Try sleeping in a tent or seeing the stars or enjoy the glow of your campfire...Unfortunately these lights have ruined the experience. My hope is someone from the US Corp of Engineers will read this feedback and Replace the 1,000,000 lumens Lights with something more appropriate for this jewel of a campground. While we were there someone wrapped the north lights with a black garbage bag and effectively turned off the light. It was perfect. The next day someone from the US Forest Department showed up and tore it down. If you’re camping at Dent Acres, my strong recommendation is Book your campsite as far away from this facility As you can on the East side. All the campsites North, South and West are affected by these New and inappropriate lights!

Very enjoyable. The campground gets very quite early in the evening. Able to get plenty of rest and hit the water for fishing in the early am.
