Awesome campground, clean facilities, friendly hosts/rangers, deer galore in all sizes. Had a full hook up and stayed 13 nights. Close to Mt. Vernon and Marion so you have your choice of restaurants, but local ones in Benton, Sesser and West Frankfort too!!!!

South Marcum is one of our favorite campgrounds at Rend Lake, Buckridge costs a little more but is definitely worth it!!

This is one of our favorite campgrounds to stay at. We have been camping here for 20 years now and have stayed in multiple loops. It is well-maintained, grounds are beautiful & and bathrooms are always .

Severe drop off as soon as you exit the camper. No privacy from neighbors at picnic table and fire pit.

Stayed at south marcum, #44. Top three sites we’ve visited over a 40 year period.

We enjoyed our stay, the Rv site was clean and ready for our arrival. The restroom were clean however I noticed that the hot water didn’t work in the sinks. We are looking forward to our next trip to the same area. Thank the volunteers at the park.

Campsite is very steep, longer campers (32 feet) cannot get level.

Lovely well maintained COE park, registered online and got a discount using Senior Pass. Some are Full hook up, most W/E only with dump station nearby. Narrow paved drives, some unlevel. Comfort stations older but very clean. Yes we'd stay again.

Got to my campsite and had no water source so I left and went to another campground. If I knew I would have no water source I would not have made the reservation! Never in 30 years have I been to a campground with no water source. Will not be back!
