Great campgrounds for a family gathering. We had lots a family and family friends.
Very impressed how great the quality was of the cleaning company was in maintaining the restrooms and the area around it. Even to the toon that a non family member left their campsite in my opinion not the best and the cleaners cleaned up behind them.
We had a large "group site" and I hope the corp continues to have it available for large groups like ours.

The campground has plenty of room between sites. Our grandson enjoyed a presentation about Bobcats by the Park Rangers. The campground needs better drainage in some spots. They need to install a second dump and water fill has very little pressure. We will be back!

Always a very pleasant and pretty place to relax and enjoy the lake view. Popular campground and is difficult to always obtain our preferred spots, but good alternatives do exist in this loop. Thank you.

It was a very nice campground and the lake is beautiful! I loved the concrete slabs and the full hook ups. I would like to see more full hook ups but other than that it was great!
We had to leave early and were able to get a refund for those days that we left early.
We'll be back!

Lines to get water and for dump station. Full hook up sewers were overflowing by Sunday afternoon. Like the place but needs more accommodations for full hookups and trailer utilities.

From I-57, take Old U.S. Route 50 west for 19 miles through Salem, Odin and Sandoval. Turn north on Boulder Road and continue for 4 miles, then turn onto 1700 and continue until the road connects with 2400. Continue south to the Coles Creek entrance. Address: 16225 Coles Creek RD, Carlyle, IL 62231

Camping No-Show - Camping no-show customers who do not arrive at the campground or group facility by check-out time the day after arrival or does not cancel the reservation by check out time on the day after the scheduled arrival date will be assessed a $20.00 service fee and forfeit the first night use fee. If the no-show service fee is greater than the reservation amount, the customer will not be charged any additional service fees. |
