What Guests Are Saying
Blanding Landing is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with clean facilities and a friendly host, Ann, who is helpful and welcoming. The area offers great recreational opportunities, including access to the river and hiking trails, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. However, frequent and loud train traffic, especially at night, may disrupt sleep for some campers, so earplugs are recommended.

Off the beaten path, well worth the 6 mile backroads to get there. smaller campground, located on east side of Mississippi river. will not support large class A

As others have stated, the restrooms were clean. I liked this place because it was not crowded. The non-electric sites are not paved but are moderately level. They are all grass. The electric spots are not paved either, but there are some decent spots. They have a dump facility.
As others have also stated, the railroad tracks literally border the property line. Any electric spots on the east side of the property are literally 20’ from the tracks. Unfortunately, the trains blow their horns due to the RR crossing that enters the campground. Trains pass almost hourly, sometimes more. I was ok with it but my wife said never again.
For boondocking in the non-electric along the Mississippi River and clean showers, the $14 a night was worth it. I love that recreation.gov now allows for zero day (same day) bookings. I hate these other sites that require you to reserve no less than 3 days in advance.

Great family campground. Galena to the North and Savanna/Mississippi Palisades to the south. Sunsets over the river looking west are spectacular. The trains are wonderful, very regular traffic of high priority north and south bound double stackers traveling at speed.

We really like this park. Please consider putting in some vault toilets at the far end of the campsite, near the dump station.

Great time. We will miss the camp host when she retires. Please put an outhouse by the dump station so the girls don't have to walk so far.

Wonderful little campground on the banks of the Mississippi with a lot to explore in the area. Note that freight trains pass by on a regular basis and use their horns at the nearby crossing. Might be a deal breaker for some, but not me.

The park itself is nice. The staff are accommodating. However, the train is so near, so loud and pass so often that I don’t think I’ll come back.

This is such a nice facility! We like that it is right on the Mississippi and we have easy access to kayak. The restrooms are super clean and I really appreciate that. If you don't like the sound of trains then you might think of going elsewhere. We love that sound! I would highly recommend this campsite!

It's a very nice campground with clean facilities. The only downside was the trains. Bring your earplugs if you want to get sleep.
