What Guests Are Saying
Coon Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with clean facilities, well-maintained campgrounds, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the picturesque views of Lake Shelbyville and the quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. However, some concerns were raised about the lack of fish cleaning stations, narrow parking spaces, and the need for improved arrival hours for campers without reservations.

Keep an eye on your things!!! Someone took our EMS Surge Protector while we were at the bathhouse in our camper van. We returned and since we were leaving for the evening after dinner we never plugged back in & took a nap. It wasn't until we got home about 11 we found out that our EMS was gone! We could tell someone on two bikes had been on our site so I left a note in the box at the front gate at 10 when we left. Joe called us at 2 pm and said 2 guys on bikes had turned it in from a "vacant" site the previous afternoon. Please when someone turns something in on a "vacant" site ask them what date was on the checkout slip, what's the site #, look up their phone number and call them.Last time was our lawnchairs and firewood. We had to return the next weekend because we leave an hour away. We usually love USACOE parks but this is the 2nd time something was taken. Last time it was our lawn chairs (cleaners had that) and firewood (neighbors). People need to look at the checkout date posted on the site # post and keep your paws off other camper's items. Thanks.
