Lithia Springs is a clean, quiet campground with full hook-ups. Only problem is that the full hookup sites get reserved very quickly when the reservation window opens 6 months prior to date. Very hard to get a full-hookup. Would also like to see a change in the check-in time. Not being able to check in until 5:00 p.m. is very inconvenient.

Lithia Springs has great campground facilities. My family is from the St. Louis area and we have met a group of our 'camping buddies' there for the past 8-9 years at Lithia Springs. It has become a tradition for our families, and the kids our growing up with that experience every summer. The marina has everything you might need for a day on the lake, and the beach is nice for the kids to swim and play while parents can watch and relax in the sun. The staff has always been great and not overbearing like other places I've been to.

Just a great place to get away from it all, i have been camping at lake shelbyville since i was around 5 or so, i am 46 this year and still cant wait got camping season every year.

We use Lithia Springs every year for a week long extended family vacation of 20 individuals. Those of us that have camping units stay in the campground. Those that do not camp stay at Gregory's motel within walking distance of our camp site. The guard shack volunteers can be quite unfriendly to our family walking in. No one in our group smokes, drinks, is loud, has a dog or in anyway distracts other campers. Our guests do not use the shower facilities provided for the campground. We do use the marina, boat slips and even rent a pontoon.

Need bigger sign to define campgrounds. Sign says Marina but nothing about campgrounds. Place was great, with lots to offer.

Lake Shelbyville recreation.gov campgrounds are simply the best - big, private, sociable if you'd like, friendly, and clean. Bathrooms are phenomenal as well. You really can't go wrong with them. And the lake views...stunning!

From Shelbyville, Illinois, go three miles east of Shelbyville on State Route 16 to County Road 2200E. Turn left and go two miles to County Road 1500N. Turn left again and drive 1.4 miles to the campground.

General
- Attention – Customers who do not arrive at the campground by 4 p.m. on the day after scheduled arrival date will be No Showed. Please Review the R1S No Show policy for complete details.
- Must check-in at fee booth during normal operation hours.
- Must have a reservation prior to setting up on site.
- No alcohol permitted in beach area.
- One RV and three tents, or four tents per site
- Two RVs and six tents, or eight tents per double site
- Tent camping is always permitted, but not recommended for some sites
- The banks are steep and it may be difficult to get to the water from many sites
- No outside firewood allowed; obtain or purchase firewood at or near your camping destination and burn it on-site; firewood can carry invasive insects and diseases that destroy forests; learn more
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
