Many guests appreciated the friendly hosts, cleanliness of the facilities, and convenient access to Lake Shelbyville. We had a great time at Lone Point. I rate it very highly. We had one issue of very hot water in showers. Our little ones could not use the shower because it was too hot. It was reported to camp host, I think they worked on it but it remained very hot

The firepit area was really nice. It was a large open area near our friends who camped in the spot right behind us. We easily had a group firepit where we had group meals. The lake was absolutely beautiful! We saw other sites that we loved, and we are excited to camp at Lone Point again; we just won't camp at site 49 again. We were in site 49. It was extremely difficult for us to get out of our camper because the edge of the pad that we parked on was right on the edge of our steps. Then, the ground was slanted which made it difficult for us to get to our vehicle and behind our camper where the firepit was. Again, we will most definitely camp at Lone Point again in the hopefully near future.

Clean campgrounds and full hookups at a state park is rare.

We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come again. So grateful they have several full sites. Too bad there are not more campgrounds around the lake with more full hookups.
