What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

Thomson Causeway is our favorite campground! Large sites, clean bathrooms and so peaceful and quiet. We love to ride our bikes and kayak on the river. I wish we could go more often.

Great site on the Water. Lots of wildlife-birds, turtles, beaver, muskrat. Interesting bike trails. We'll definitely go back.

Cant adjust water temp in showers, so they were a little cooler than I prefer. Other wise, the campground was great.

The campground is excellent. The people running the campground are great. We spent a week there and had to come home unexpectedly. There was no problem getting our refund. We enjoy the campground every time we go there. Keith & Christy Lehman

Rained a lot. We had puddles on our lot and on the road in front of our site. Was fun watching the kids ride their bikes through the water. Nearby attraction is the Dutch Windmill at Fulton ,IL. Bear's Drive Inn at Thomson messed up our food order twice.

Nice facilities, easy access to drinking water, and the campsite was literally on the bank of the Mississippi. The pit toilet was the right distance away (not too far away, but not too close either) and the modern restroom/showers were a short walk up the hill and clear the whole weekend.
Overall it was a nice experience, the campground is RV oriented, but we used a camp without issue. There is easy access to the bike trails in the area.
