What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

View was spectacular. The proximity for facilities was disappointing, but the cleanliness was even worse. The number of showers per campsite was very low too. Inconsistent enforcing of powered vehicles by different personnel. Limited play area for kids. Campers walked through your campsite without a care. Very different experience than our family is used to. If we come back it would be for the view, not any type of amenity offered.

We always enjoy camping at Thomson Causeway it’s quiet friendly people and staff and volunteers and it’s away from home but close enough if we need to get anything we need

Lovely, very well kept campground. Sites are very level, and all of the sites in my loop had a water view.

Very nice clean place and what I liked the most is that it was nice and quiet in the evening!

Very fun to be so close to the water! Noise travels in this campground, few trees on the waterfront sites.

Loved the overall campground and nature watching. Would not stay in site 60 again in summer due to lack of shade, which makes you retreat inside your camper for afternoon and early evening.
