We love having both water at our campsite. The concrete pad was level, no need to use leveling devices. The washrooms are always very clean and always work. The sites are spacious and have ample room between them. It's peaceful and quiet, so Nature's sounds are easily heard. Thomson is our favorite campground.

One of our favorite campgrounds! The park is well maintained and the sites are clean and level. The sites along the river are a little tight but we still had plenty of room and a great sunset!

Such a beautiful place. Clean campsites, and the bathhouse was always very clean. Recommend staying here and hitting the Great River Trail, or going across to Iowa and visiting Wide River Winery!

Love the place and the closeness of camps next to the river - if I have a complaint, it would be other larger campers leaving their lights on all night - the lights wash out the night view of the river and tow traffic on the river!

Nice level cement pads, good water & electric at each site.Nice shade trees although they are mostly oak & hickory & at this time year are dropping their nuts on top of your camper.

PLEASE PLEASE do something about your vault toilets!!
We absolutely love everything about this campground except for the horrific odor in these toilets. I have used many vault toilets but have never experienced anything like this before

Generous and level sites. There could have been more restroom facilities for the amount of campsites. The water in the restrooms could’ve been hotter We enjoyed our stay there.

Campsites 33, 79-97, and 127-131 do not have water available at each campsite. You are able to fill up your holding tank at the dump station or from a water faucet. Campers must unhook from water faucet when done filling holding tank. |

Please make sure to empty or flush your water and waste tanks at the designated dump station drains only. Emptying tanks, including freshwater tanks, on roadways, parking lots, campsites or other areas in the park is prohibited. Also, dumping or emptying water or waste tanks, including freshwater tanks, on state, county or city roads is illegal per state statutes. Thank you for your cooperation. |

Firewood can be purchased in the campground during the hours of 5 pm to 8 pm nightly for $6 per bundle from the on-site firewood shed. Use the QR code at the firewood shed to pay for firewood using a credit card. No cash or checks are accepted for firewood sales. |
