What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

I guess if you camp next to a wildlife refuge next to the Mississippi, you better be prepared for Mosquitoes. They were very hungry at night and took a few sips of my blood. Otherwise Camp was good. Drove over to IOWA a few times for supplies and site seeing. Area sure has a good supply of Poison Ivy.

Nearby camper with barking dogs!
Why do people not control dog noise? Leave dogs out front of campsite to bark at everything and everybody!
We finally called DNR to come talk to them,
It’s a shame , we noticed this in more and more campgrounds.
