What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

This is a really beautiful place, and a very quiet campground. Great place to camp for relaxation, as well as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and bicycling.

This was our first time camping at Thompson Causeway, it did not disappoint. Nice paved level pads with water and electric and a great view of the Mississippi, the sunsets were stunning. The bike path to Savanna and the other direction to Fulton could be accessed right from the campground. Showers were clean, push button, and did NOT warm up. That was disappointing however they were private with a door and dryer egress area.

Love the bike trails , been going there since I was a kid I’m now 62 . Only problem we had was something biting (bugs) us in and around the picnic table
