What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

We Love camping at Thomson Causeway. The sites are big and quiet. It is close to a world-class bike trail and there is a lot to do in the area. The fee taker is very friendly and the park is well maintained.

We have been to Thomson many of times. Not once has there been any activity at the out theater. Movies or informational programs would be nice.
The bike trail to Fulton is very rough after leaving the park. It is out of the park but need attention.

Beautiful views. Campground very well maintained and restrooms/showers were kept very clean and stocked with supplies. Water hydrants were recently installed at each campsite. Very nice, but ours had low water pressure (53), compared to our neighboring site. Highly recommend and we plan to come again.

One of my favorite camping parks in the upper Midwest! Large sites, most now have water connections! Clean showers and bathrooms. Great place to ride bikes and view the Mississippi river.

1st time staying here. Reservations were very easy to make. Met friends with their 34' 5th wheel on site 68. Ours is a 32' 5th wheel and we were on site 70. Plenty of space for RV and tow vehicle on very good concrete slabs. Visited near-by Lock & Dam, Fulton (groceries), and Savanna (pizza restaurant). Been to Poopy's restaurant in Savanna in the past - highly recommended though we didn't go there on this trip. Campground very quiet and relaxing except that the mowing crew started at 7:30 AM. Very nice dump stations - easy in and out. Great stay - highly recommend. Will stay here again.
