What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

Very nice campground. We had a site along the Mississippi river and just loved the stay. The view over the river at night is amazing on a clear night and it is cool to watch the barges work their way down the river at night. Our site was closer to other campers then we normally like, but besides that it was a very nice time. I highly recommend this campground for a nice getaway. I just wish campers would learn to fallow rules and shut off lights after 10. For night photographers or anyone trying to get away from city lights, we would appreciate it if you people would go back to the city.

I'm selfish, don't want to give too great a review as it is getting too popular.

Bird watching, fishing, walking, bicycling, playing on the playground, or just reading in the shade of your campsite are some of the ways to spend your time here.

My husband and I spent four nights with another couple, relaxing by the Mississippi River. The park was quiet and well maintained. We will be back.

We stayed four nights and wished we had made reservations for a week. Looking forward to coming back again for longer. Great place. It was so peaceful.

Staff was more concerned about folks checking in at an unmanned entrance shack than making sure toilets and showers got cleaned, that ventilation equip was working, or that showers held a safe temperature. And lastly noise of dogs barking in camp all night did not seam to get addressesd. Worst COE we have.stayed at.
