What Guests Are Saying
Thomson Causeway is praised for its beautiful riverside camping, clean facilities, and friendly staff, making it a favorite among visitors. Campers appreciate the spacious concrete pads, proximity to nature, and stunning sunsets over the Mississippi River. While some concerns were raised about noise from barking dogs and a less-than-friendly host, the overall experience is highly positive, with many planning to return.

Great campground! Spacious sites, well maintained, many sites have been upgraded to concrete pads and patios, but the gravel ones are still nice. The location on the Mississippi River is fantastic. There’s a bike path that goes to Fulton 9 miles away, which is very nice. There’s a boat ramp for campers and several people had kayaks with them. We were there midweek and it was quiet and relaxing. And you can’t beat the sunsets!

We camper mid week to attend Dutch Days in Fulton. Campground is always clean and everyone is very friendly. I did have an issue in that I only reserved one night instead of two by mistake. When I tried to reserve the second night I had to reserve two instead of just the one I needed. Other than that and bad weather we had a great time.

First camping day of the Season, and everything was in perfect condition!
Dusty's Pizza in Thomson is a great place for pizza, and many other menu options. Small town, great service & food.
