Popular COE conveniently located off the interstate. Stayed only one night while traveling, but can see why it would be a destination spot. Nice COE by a large lake with FHU options.

Gun Creek campground is very clean, the sites are spacious, with plentiful views of Rend Lake. It was a quiet restful visit. we loved the campground so much we extended our stay twice!

We always enjoy staying at Gun Creek in the Nighthawk loop. The only downside here is that there isn’t any basketball goals here. I had to drive to Benton to their park so the grandkids could play basketball. North Marcum was already closed for the season.

Site was far from level. Had to use every leveling block we had, and still were pretty tilted. It’d help a lot if the site descriptions gave information on site slope. For a quick overnight in a class B van, a level site is most welcome.

Location was peaceful. There is an archery shooting complex near by. There isn’t much for bike riding or hiking trails, but close to the lake for some shore fishing.

We stayed overnight on our way to Louisville; this was a very nice campground. The sites were widely spaced, the fall leaves were beautiful. There is a double sided dump site. I didn’t use the showers but every shower/ bathroom has its own outside door and is private. The price is incredible for full hookups.

Was a very nice size campsite. The shower house was well kept. The campground was very peaceful, we really enjoyed our weekend there.
