Well laid out sites that work well for tents. Minus the mosquitoes, it was a pleasant weekend. Come prepared to battle them!

Great time and place to be near Lake Michigan and the dunes. 1.5 mi walk to the dunes and marshlands. Beautiful surroundings. Clean bathrooms.

We have camped at Dunewood Campground several years in a row now over Labor Day weekend. We really enjoy the quality and cleanliness of the campsites and restroom facilities
This year, due to the recent storms throughout the area, there was a lot of standing water behind our site. This lead to there being A LOT of mosquitoes do deal with. This is all understandable and usually not an issue at the site.
Maybe consider installing a couple of bat boxes around the campground so bars can help control the mosquitoes.

Stayed at site 67, which I believe this is likely the most remote site in the campground. You can only see one other campsite from the location. Mosquitos were a bit heavy (around Labor Day) but managed well enough with some bug spray. Bathrooms were very well maintained, seemed like daily. Free showers were a welcome feature but hot water might be in short supply at some times (ran out for me around 8pm). The camp hosts were very attentive and took care to make sure everyone respected quiet hours and made sure we were invited to the activities at the campground amphitheater.

Dunewood Campground is accessible via I-94, with exit 26B leading to IN-49 North. IN-49 North connects to US-12 E (W Dunes Hwy), which provides direct access to the campground.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.

- All visitors must have a valid entrance pass, which can be purchased on arrival or in advance.
Site capacity
- Each campsite can accommodate up to 8 people.
- Guests can stay for a maximum of 14 days within any 30-day period.
Site types & loops
- Tents and equipment must be placed on the designated camping pad.
Vehicles & parking
- Vehicles must be parked on the paved area of the campsite.
- Park in the Lake View parking lot, not in the Town of Beverly Shores' beach parking lot to avoid tickets.
Safety & rules
- Observe daily quiet hours to respect other guests.
- Keep valuables out of sight in your vehicle to prevent theft.
Pets
- Pets must be on a leash (up to 6 feet) or caged and attended at all times.
Fires & fuel
- Campfires are restricted to fire rings, and you must provide your own firewood.
