The site and bathrooms were very clean and nicely kept. The lady at the front desk was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different hikes and beaches of the park. Gas station, gift shop, and restaurant right outside of the campground which provided lots of camping gear , ice, and firewood. Overall a very nice stay!

Great campground. Very clean. Bathroom, showers, and kitchen sink - all have plenty of hot water. Not our first stay and definitely not the last.

We loved our stay at Dunewood! Bathrooms very clean, great sink for cleaning dishes. Spots are HUGE and very private. So convenient to have coffee at the gas station 2 minutes away and the little beach camp store across the street. The beach is very close, a short drive down the road and you get to Lake Michigan for some beautiful sunsets! We would totally come back here.

The location was nice, but, for being a campground at a National Park, it could have been better maintained. All the trails that led to the bathhouse were extremely overgrown and you could barely even see the path. The first night I car camped, around 10pm, I had someone shining a light into my car, to verify my identity. The mosquitoes were horrendous, so much so, that I left at 3am from being bitten so badly. I killed over 17 in my car, after only having the doors open for 15mins. Gave it 2 stars because they can’t do anything about the mosquitoes and it’s part of the national park

- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
